CONGRATULATIONS are in order again for the fishermen of the Academic Anglers Fishing Team. Two weeks ago Academic Anglers Charlie Roberts and Carter Tillage placed in the Walleye Tournament in Michigan. This week Charlie Roberts and John Baker placed fourth in the Inshore Fishing Association Redfish Tournament that was held in the Homosassa-Crystal River (Florida) area. The day started with about twenty-five boats; the weather was clear and a little windy in the morning with a few showers near the end of the tournament. Actually, the weather was really great after we landed our first fish. The winning weight was 10.7 pounds, and the Academic Anglers' fourth place weight was 6.75 pounds. We are looking forward to our next fishing date in Tampa because placing in that tournament will qualify us for the fish championship in Venice, Louisiana the first week in March '06. We are really excited and preparing ourselves for the event.
