Academic Anglers of Melbourne Qualify for The Redfish..and Walleye Championships

John Baker, Charlie Roberts and Carter Tillage representing the Academic Anglers Fishing Team qualified for the Redfish and Walleye Tours championship events. The Academic Anglers qualified by being ranked number 141 on the redfish tour and number 15 on the walleye tour.
The Academic Anglers Fishing Team is the only African-American team on both of the tours. Manufacturers Industrial Group of Lexington, Tennessee sponsors them. The Academic Anglers have set as their goal to be one of the top fishing teams in the nation and to share their knowledge of pleasure and tournament fishing with our youth.
